Enjoy our pool classes.

The Clinique de La Source offers expectant mothers preparation for childbirth in the pool.

One of our midwives trained in pool classes will give the class and answer your questions in an intimate, relaxed atmosphere.

For your comfort, we allow a maximum number of 7 mothers per class.

 

Our pool classes

Our courses* will help you to:

  • Gently strengthen your abdominal, back and perineal muscles
  • Work on opening up your hips
  • Provide relief for your back and joints thanks to the weightlessness provided by the water
  • Stretch and loosen your body
  • Work on your breathing
  • Relax in water heated to a soothing 31°C
  • Be in harmony with your baby

Class description:

  • Meeting at 4.45 pm
  • 45-minute pool class
  • Departure at 6.30 pm

* Our antenatal classes are reserved for expectant mothers who have planned to give birth at the Source de Vie Maternity ward at the Clinique de La Source.

IN LAUSANNE

Class description:

  • Meeting at 2 pm
  • 45-minute pool class
  • Departure at 4 pm

* Our antenatal classes are reserved for expectant mothers who have planned to give birth at the Source de Vie Maternity ward at the Clinique de La Source.

Location: Aquamed Flon, voie du Chariot 4-6, 1003 Lausanne

Meeting point: At the reception, waiting room available on the right as you come in

Parking & accessibilité : Montbenon car park is a 3-minute walk away; the Lausanne-Flon public transport stop is a 2-minute walk away, and the Vigie stop is a 6-minute walk away. 
 

 

Key information

Registration after 14 weeks of pregnancy with the approval of your gynaecologist.

Courses start: from the beginning of the 26th week of pregnancy.

Price : CHF 400.- for a package of 5 sessions. Sessions not taken as part of the package are not refunded.

Reimbursement: Basic health insurance (LAMal) contributes towards the costs of antenatal preparation, provided the package has not already been used. Some supplementary insurance policies (LCA) may cover an additional portion.
