Throughout your pregnancy, you will be monitored by the gynaecologist of your choice, who will also be there when you deliver your baby.

Throughout your pregnancy, you will be cared for by the gynaecologist of your choice who will also be there when you give birth. 

During your stay in the Maternity ward, your baby will be cared for by the accredited pediatrician of your choice from the list below. We recommend you to get in touch or arrange a meeting with your child’s future pediatrician during your pregnancy in order to get acquainted him or her. 

If you do not give your preference, the paediatrician on call from the list below will be called.

In the event of a caesarean, the pediatrician will be present to help your baby adapt to his or her new surroundings.

In the event of a natural birth, your newborn baby will have his first examination by the pediatrician on the first day of his or her life. 

In any case, your pediatrician will be kept informed of your baby’s progress during your stay at the Clinic (variations in weight, possibility of jaundice, etc).

Before returning home, your gynaecologist will make sure that you are in good health and your baby will have a second pediatric examination during which you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have regarding his or her health, thus ensuring that your return home can be done under the best conditions.

At your request and subject to availability, the paediatrician who attended you at La Source Maternity ward may become your child's paediatrician. In all cases, the maternity unit team will transfer your newborn's complete file to the paediatrician of your choice.
