Plastic, reconstructive and esthetic surgery_

Plastic, reconstructive and esthetic surgery is the medical specialisation dedicated to the repair or improvement of tissue and skin. It also encompasses hand surgery.

This speciality is often associated with esthetic or even cosmetic surgery but is in fact a complex medical area which covers several sectors.

Reconstructive surgery involves the repair of tissues and the skin after ablative surgery as in the case of skin cancers. The best example is breast reconstruction following cancer, or a lumpectomy, or – and principally – after a total mastectomy.

A second area is esthetic surgery (face, eyelids, nose, ears, abdomen, etc.). Plastic surgery is designed for both women (face lifts, lipomodelling, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, liposuction, abdominoplasty) and men (gynecomastia).

Finally, some plastic surgeons also specialise in hand surgery.

Plastic surgery is often used in the context of other specialities such as orthopaedics, gynaecology or visceral surgery. In its capacity as a multidisciplinary institution, the Clinique de La Source facilitates the best possible collaboration between all parties involved.

The technical facilities offered by the Clinique de La Source have for many years enabled reconstructive and esthetic interventions as well as hand surgery under the best possible conditions. Lipomodelling (micro fat grafting) can also be performed thanks to state-of-the-art equipment.
