Monitoring
_

Intensive medicine is the medical specialisation dedicated to the monitoring and treatment of patients whose vital functions are impaired or threatened (patients who have undergone a complex operation or who are at risk, have been in an accident or are suffering from an acute illness).

Intensive medicine is a medical specialisation that includes prevention, the diagnosis and treatment of patients exhibiting one or more malfunctions of the vital organs. It is therefore dedicated to people who are critically ill and require intensive care and/or continuous monitoring that cannot be provided in the clinic’s other units.

The intensive care unit at the Clinique de La Source is certified by the Swiss Society of Intensive Care Medicine (SSMI).

The unit accepts patients referred from outside, or already hospitalised in the event of complications. It also ensures close monitoring, especially during the post-operative period, in the case of well-defined diseases.
